License Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Liberal, KS

Wheatridge Park is currently seeking a FT / PT LPNs to join our team! (12 hr. shifts)

Night shift pay differential.

As an important member of our interdisciplinary team, the LPN delivers quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact and provides care and services to allow patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Wheatridge Park standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record physical findings, and formulate plans and prognosis based on resident’s condition. Report these to the attending physician.
  • Give direct physical and psychological nursing care in emergencies, as well as in the presence of an illness or disability, in order to maintain life, provide comfort, reduce stress, and enhance the residents ability to cope.
  • Provide information to resident and family members of prevention techniques and other ways to maintain or improve the general health and psychosocial status of the resident.
  • Must be able to deliver quality nursing care knowledgeably and competently to patients
  • Be a Force on the Floor: Lead team by example when passing medications, assisting residents with personal care, and completing paperwork.
  • LPN communicate effectively to RN Supervisor all residents change in conditions

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active state-issued LPN License
  • Current first aid/CPR certification (BLS)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
