CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (CMA) POSITION

Garden Valley Retirement Village is looking for a caring, compassionate and kind CMA. We strive to provide care to our residents that exceeds industry standards, and we are looking for a CMA that wants to join that mission!

The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for serving and caring for the elderly population, the desire to build a genuine rapport with those that they’re charged to care for and the ability to provide individualized, resident-centered basic nursing care and medication administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for proper medication dosage, medication monitoring and appropriate medication storage.
• Administer medications within scope of practice and job description.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Maintains resident stability by checking vital signs and weight.
• Provides residents with quality personal hygiene.
• Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials.
• Answers residents’ call lights and requests and transports residents.
• Reports observations of the resident to nursing supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid and active state-issued CNA and CMA certification
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, federal and state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated dependability and punctuality.
