Grace Manor is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our dietary team!

SCHEDULE: 6a-2pm / 10.30am-6pm

In your Cook role, you will be responsible for providing for preparing quality food in accordance with the approved menu, current standards, state guidelines, and regulations with established procedures directed by our Dietary Manager to assure that quality food service is always provided.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Checks daily menu and special events calendar to ensure necessary food and supplies are available.
• Prepares meals meeting nutritional requirements as well as appetizing in appearance.
• Prepares food based on standardized recipes.
• Assists in preparation of special meals and for special events.
• Operates kitchen within state and county regulations including sanitation, food storage, recordkeeping, food temperatures, portion sizes, chemical usage/storage
• Operates kitchen equipment safely and efficiently: steamer, oven, grill, meat slicer, mixer, grinder, dishwasher, etc.
• Maintains cooler and freezer properly: dates and labels food, no food on floor, etc.
• Assists with putting up stock on delivery days
• Assists with daily kitchen duties: washing pots/pans, putting up stock, removing trash and boxes, cleaning steam table and checking water levels
• Completes daily cleaning assignments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) years of experience as a Cook preferred.
• Healthcare/skilled nursing home experience preferred.
• ServSafe certified preferred

WAGE RANGE: $17.00-$19.47 DOE / APPLICATION DEADLINE: 5/30/2025
