Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Location: Liberal, KS

WHEATRIDGE PARK CARE CENTER IS SEEKING A FT CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE!

***Evening Shift: 2pm – 10pm***

In your role as a C.M.A., you will be responsible for the medication administration and treatment program to the residents. Assist the entire caregiving department to ensure that the residents are safe, well cared for and comfortable. Complies with federal, state and local standards for facility operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for proper medication dosage, medication monitoring and appropriate medication storage.
  • Administer medications within scope of practice and job description.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living.
  • Maintains resident stability by checking vital signs and weight.
  • Provides residents with quality personal hygiene.
  • Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials.
  • Answers residents’ call lights and requests and transports residents.
  • Reports observations of the resident to nursing supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid and active state-issued CNA and CMA certification
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards, federal and state regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated dependability and punctuality
